Measures approximately 17.5 by 13 by 6 Inches when new. Will stretch out to approximately 8 inches from front to back.
This was a popular top frame style, although our clients are more typically looking for a hand-stitched case and one with a pinched and stitched edge. You will see this case is wrapped on the edges and then machine stitched. We took these photographs years ago when we offered this case.
The lock is quite nice. This three-position lock works well (particularly with Americans) when their bag is overstuffed. The leather strap at the top must be a little thinner than our standard, but our clients like it. This lock, like all of our others, is hand made, solid brass, and of the finest quality.
Please note, this is to show you an example of a Top Frame with a lock that we like very much. If you select to order a case, it will be our standard, finest quality top frame with this three-position lock. It will not be a rounded top, machine-stitched top frame.

Each item in the Sterling & Burke Bespoke range is handcrafted by our master craftsmen just north of London. Each piece of the leather is hand-cut and the case is completely hand stitched using a double needle saddlery technique. The handle is produced from 7 layers of leather allowing for a very comfortable grip and it will conform to your hand over the years. Bridle leather is hand fed with waxes and tallow during the tanning process. The waxes will come to the surface and allow the leather to break in beautifully, creating a wonderful patina that gets better with age. This is a natural product so please be aware that there may be some variation, especially in the lighter colors.
