The Belgian Slipper is similar to a Prince Albert Slipper.  It often features a bow or tassel and has a top panel that provides a bit more structure to the shoe. With its seamless stitching, it is very popular in Europe and works well to maintain an elevated yet casual look.

These shoes are made in the artesian way of hand-finishing.  Each pair is antiqued and variations in coloring and burnishing will occur.  This unique process is called patinating.  Dyes are added first and polishes are used as a finishing touch.  With dyes we actually paint a shoe, thus achieving a variegated, transparent effect.  We recommend using a cream-based polish such as Saphir or Melatonin products. and not a wax.  Avoid harsh chemical cleaners but instead, use a balm or cream product and gently buff.  We hope you enjoy your purchase.
