He is substantial weighting a little over 7 pounds. Nose to tail measuring approximately 15", 6.5" high at the base of his spine, and hips measuring 5.5" wide.
His skin has a wonderful texture and finished with a lovely iridescence mat glaze. Loaded with expression and character. He looks like he has a personality and he is someone you would want to touch and be around. As the natural light hits him, his color changes. You will love this sweet guy!
Katrina Roeckelein (TRINKA) is an award-winning sculptor working primarily in clay. After receiving her MFA in design, she established her career as a graphic designer in film, video, and print for the Associated Press, various post-production houses in the Washington DC area and worldwide publishers like DK Publishing and Orchard Books.
Gradually her creative tool evolved from the computer to clay. She naturally embraced the 3-D component. Trinka creates both indoor and outdoor sculptures, most of which contain realistic interpretations of the animal or human form. She often adds an archetypal symbol derived from myth or her subconscious to the piece.
Many of her sculptures focus on the increasingly complex dualities of modern existence. Some are less realistic and include hybrid elements, centering on the co-existence between nature and people. Her pieces reflect the fantasy that arises by combining these parallel subjects through form, gesture, and character.
